After his recent release Samba Junglist the hippo has been championing his love of D&B fused with Latin styles and other world music flavours. During his 2017 tour he brought this set to some of UK’s best festivals including Boomtown, Glastonbury, Shambala & Seceret Garden Party and even to the shores of the Thames in central London at London Bridge Fest and the shores of the Adriatic Sea at beloved Croatian festival Goulash Disko.
As well as his solo DJ set the hippo can be booked as a live act accompanied by top musicians on percussion, brass and vocals for an even bigger sound and experience!
One of Bristol’s most hard working DJ’s he hold’s residencies at some of the cities key musical hotspots including The Full Moon & Attic, The Canteen, Old Market Assembly, The Plough Inn, The Leftbank & Mr Wolff’s. This has earned him a well trusted reputation on the decks along with countless hours of experience working crowds of all types and ages.
The hippo’s reputation has also grown in tandem with his extended family… Tropical Tea Party, a roaming party and festival venue loved for their extensively decorated venues and exciting, genre-defying lineups. Running club nights in Bristol and takeovers at festivals and other venues around the country, the hippo is in charge of the bookings and all things musical for these sun-loving criminals.
